Thinking about taking the bucket seat option on my new boxster. Anybody got any views on this?

Great for track days but if your car is a daily used car I have heard people getting pissed off with the slower entry and exit from the vehicle that this type of seat leads to.

Can I suggest the Sports Seats? I had the regular seats in my last Boxster S and my arse slid around a bit on track days - but they were comfotable enough for general use.

In my new Boxster S I got the sports seats - which provide additional lateral support with no discernible downside in getting in and out of the car. They do NOT provide the sort of backside-hugging grip that a bucket does...but there again do you need that on a daily basis.

The wife has a bad back and she reckoned the Sports Seats were more comfortable..and I believe they are a no-cost option with leather anyway.

I suppose it depends on whether you can put with the downsides for extra connection with the car on Track Days...

I have a pair of brand new bucket seats in grey leather for sale @ £2k for the pair. I had to remove them out of my 996 TT and replace them with standard sports seats to give easier access for my kids who are occasional passengers.

Dave.

One of the rules of the site is to keep advertising off the discussion forums.

This rule is not particularly aimed at people like yourself, letting us know that you have the equivalent of rockinghorse sh1te for sale (ie bloody rare), more aimed at stopping all adverts for tat getting in the way of discussion.

To allow members to advertise their cars and parts Ted has set up a free classified section for our use. You may like to put an advert in this section, which more people will see:
