A friend was Banned from driving for 6 months (tot up speeding ban) and is due to get his licence back soon. He has had over 25 years of driving with no accidents but his current insurer wants to hike the insurance from £800 a year to over £2500.

Does anybody know a broker or good insurance company who could help reduce this.

Presumably it's something nice he's insuring, if it was already £800?

Direct Line - a 7-week ban and a full write off in 18 months - gone up about £80 (I did have no claims protection).
