So who taxed their kit car at the weekend?
Discussion
I taked mine yesterday (It was a nice surprise to find out the postoffice was open on Sundays) and looked forward to getting it on the car getting it on the road. Needless to say it wasn't quite as easy as that. I'd used a tamperproof tax disc holder and so had to get another..the battery was flat and the car needed a really good clean. Aprt from that though I enjoyed driving it for the first time since September, even it was a bit on the chilly side.
Am I the only person that taxes their kit car for 6 months only? One more thing, the tax on my 2L kit car was more than on my 1.8L Alfa. I didn't know there were so many classes.

Lightweight! Mine is a 12 month a year car...

When I buy a place with off street parking and a garage I will no doubt drive mine more often...but having to drive to my cousins where I keep it off road makes it too inconvenient. At the moment, April til September is okay. When I got back into my Alfa yesterday it was actually a relief to have creature comforts again and nobody staring at me

The missus' Westy has been a 6 month a year car for ages now, probably at least 10 years. We don't have space for it in the single garage so it has to live outside. Over winter, it lives at her mums place all snug in a garage.
My Corse (CAE, NOT Vauxhall) would normally be on the road all year but the engine has been FUBAR since late last year and I've only now got round to starting the build on a replacement.
