Anyone had "Load Magazine" come up when the magazine is loaded into the changer? Seems to go through a little dance checking each CD slot but the console thinks there isn't one in there, even though there is. It did work a couple of days ago but only picked up 2 of the 6 CDs that were loaded - and yes, I did put them all in the right way up.

Were any of them 'back-ups' on CDRs? They sometimes make a song and dance about these.

Yeah, but one of them was read first time araound. Now it doesn't even detect that the magazine is loaded.

In my experience, the 'load magazine' message and intermittantly recognised CD's are an internal fault with the CDC unit, a new one is the only remedy.....

Ouch - expensive? Probably not a Warranty item either. Hmmm, this 996TT is starting to hurt like a TVR!

its an easy job to swap out a CD changer. takes about 30mins. no tools required other than a philips screwdriver and a flat screwdriver for the clips. if you need a replacement CDC-4 then come up on ebay a lot.

Yep - mine does exactly the same thing ! My solution was to fit a PSE and listen to that instead !

Typed in CDC-4 on eBay and got no hits. Do you know specifically what it is that I will be looking for - believe it's a Becker unit?
