Just got my Griff 4.0l back with its shiney new Protechs fitted
. I immediately took the car out for a spin (like you do) and found that whilst it handled pretty well it wasn't happy when it encountered speed humps. The shockers had been set on their softest setting (I've counted 13 clicks between the softest and firmest settings) and the front ride height was too low so a little bit of tinkering later and the ride height had been reset and I'd adjusted the firmness to midway (7/13 clicks). Another test drive and the handling was 10x better plus it could safely navigate speed humps without dislodging any of my fillings. I was a very happy bunny but I wondered whether there was further handling improvements to be had so I clicked it round to 9/13 - AWESOME! I drove it a couple of days to and from work (12 miles each way) and couln't believe how good it was.
Then last Thursday I had to drive the 140 miles to Nottingham and back. So with TomTom switched on
I set off. It's only when you do a longish drive like that that you appreciate how much punishment your body's taking, especially when you've got the shockers as firm as I had them
. I don't think that there's an organ in my body that survived a severe beating... or am I just getting old? I've now reset my shocks back to 7/13.
