Reading the threads on here something that's got me curious is that it seems a lot of "you" have been pulled over for one reason another by the BiB.

I've been driving a touch over 11 years and have never been pulled over by the BiB.

I guess I'm curious if I've somehow been lucky?

I certainly don't drive like Miss Daisy, and would consider myself a careful/aware/reasonably able driver.

I almost feel as if I've missed out

Been pulled once for having no number plate on the front and driving to fast round a corner.

Never been pulled since.

once for speeding (it was a fair cop guv)

once for driving a really tatty escort around at midnight with no lights- looking back on it i'm hardly surprised i got pulled

once for taking shortcut across a park (that i own) as i couldn't be bothered to drive the long way round, and after all no-ones around at 3 in the morning!

That's over 12 years!

This needs tying with my car history, I think

Mk1 950cc Fiesta - 6 years - 1 pull for speeding (fair enough)
Mk2 1.6 golf - 18mths - no pulls
E30 BMW 320 - 2 years - 30 pulls (nothing wrong with car or driving, no producers)
E34 BMW530 - 2.5 years - 5 pulls inc. 2 for speeding (also fair enough for the speed)
Mk2 Prelude - 9mths - no pulls
Mk4 Prelude - 2.5 years - no pulls
TVR Chimaera - 2.5 yrs - no pulls yet

no pulls in assorted company cars, vans or hire cars and vans over 15 years.

I've only been pulled three times, twice for dodgy plates, and once for going the wrong way up a one way street. The last one was a genuine mistake, but no complaints about any of them. Got a verbal on all occasions. I seem to be invisible in the Alfa, despite bieng a left hooker, I get a few odd looks, but nothing more

Last got pulled over when I was 19 (26 years ago) in my Fiat 124 Sport Coupe. Sneaky bastards in an unmarked car started tailgating me through London. Being young and naieve I didn't know the 'game' and accelerated away.

Received a talking to and they've not managed to keep up with me since.

I've been driving for 18 years.

Stopped and breathalysed (hadn't had a drink, but driving like a tt)
Stopped for excessive speed in town (I deserved the pull and got off after a drunk bloke started abusing the police)
Stopped for speeding on a 40mph dual carriageway and given 3 points.
Stopped by a panda car for some unknown reason, I got a bit annoyed and they let me on my way

I'm pretty sure that's it, and nothing in the last 13 years.

I have been driving for about 7 months and have been stopped:

Once for one brake light being out
Once for one head light being out
Twice in a week for no number plates or wing mirrors (after car was vandalised)
Once for reports of stolen number plates on the car (i reported the vandalism)
Once for going through a red light on a ped crossing that i didnt see at 2mph at 1am and got 3 points for it.

I am 17 and drive the black 206 as per my profile and am always out on friday and saturday nights and have been pulled 5/6 times after 11pm on those days.

Edit: And yesterday for 'making progress' and also for the plates again

I've been driving 12 years now, get stopped on average 2 times a year these days. But when 17 - 18 was more like once per month. Have been booked for speeding once in 1999 and once last week. Usual reason for stopping was going to fast, saw them and slowed down in time to dodge the ticket, but still got a good talking to and the car looked over.

As a Mechanic/Technician my cars always in good road legal condition but in the past have been modified and that type on thing gets you noticed.

Also at work I was driving £60k XKR's at 21 years old, often brand new with no number plates only trade plates, or used sales cars with no tax and insurance showing on the data base, so those clever camera vans always get set off. When stopped BiB can see trade plate, and a quick explanation that I am working and have trade insurance and off I go.

Haven't been stopped in my own car for 3 years, since I started using Vauxhall Omegas. Had 3 now, one Ex police, current one dark blue MV6 Manual not police spec. They are nice fast but comfortable motors and cheap as chips. And have an apparent stealth value with the BiB.

Been stopped twice. Once last night by a mate who wanted to catch up and once about 4 years ago when the chap was very young in service and clearly nervous.. I just played along and let him talk himself into a bit of a corner then he seemed to lose interest and wandered off back to his car. Tend to drive fairly sensibly and average run of the mill cars.

Been stopped once for making a mess of negotiating a mini roundabout in front of a police van (more "overabout" than "roundabout" silly). Fair enough because I was a complete pillock.
Quick talking to from that, nothing else since.

Been pulled once for 'erratic cornering'.

In my defence I was driving a Jag XJ40 and it leant on it's doorhandles every time I turned the wheel.

Seriously? Dozens of times over the last 20 years.

Most recently at the TVR meeting in Blackpool last summer; Along the seafront, mid-afternoon. I accelerated rather more quickly than is customary. Not speeding, mind, just very loud in first gear. It was enough to get me pulled over and given a bit of a talking to. Fair's fair.

Got pulled 7 times in two weeks while driving a Triumph 250 Trailblazer, because of the exhaust noise. I think they just wanted a look at the bike though. Got pulled once in my Dads car, a Triumph Dolomite 1850 twin carb because they noticed that the end of the silencer had fallen off. I hadn't. Must have been the first car to have a chav exhaust . This all happened about twenty years ago, haven't been pulled since. Obviously I'm not trying hard enough.

UK - 1x speeding aged 17 (admitted, warned, producer) and 1x reversing down 1/way (breathalysed!). Oh 1x sleeping in layby. Driving daily since 96.

Oz - I stopped counting at 36, now about 45, over 3 years! All but 2 were "random" stops.

got stopped in the old E30 M3 on the way back from a trackday once, as i still had tape on my lights...been stopped various other times in Gti's etc for no real reason not had one a for a while now though since i moved onto more sensible cars for my every day smoker. Having said that i nearly got stopped on sunday morning though, flying along the outside lane i noticed a black car head lights on in the rear view mirror approx 1/2 mile back just about keeping pace..pulled over and slowed to the limit he did the same. I think a close escape as notts police use a black v70 t5 with blacked out windows on that stretch most weekends, well i see him with other people puleld over most sat and sun on the way into work.
