power problems

since my last post about air flow meters the problems got worse and i need help, please!

When i accelerate it pulls away ok and suddenly loses all power for a couple of seconds and then it kicks in again, it will do this two or three times before settling down, when i change up a gear it does it again etc etc, once its been going for a while it seems to be ok. it all started when the idle started hunting last friday, i have done the following to it so far;- cleaned stepper, butterfly valve, interim service by garage who replace water temp sensor, cleaned electrical connections on AFM, what else can i do?

Have you checked for fuel starvation? Knackered pump, kinked pipe, blocked filter, pressure reg....

HT Lead,spark plug,ignition coil,disributor cap could be any of them or none.
Has to be a process of elimination im afraid IMO
Nightmare but if you do it yourself it won't hurt as much.
