Spay Campsite - electricity?
Discussion
I've written some words for the Club Arnage guide about Spay and but we have only been on the main site and not for the week of the 24. I know the main site has lekky but wasn't sure about the extra bit.
Presumably there are enough Brits and helpful people on there that week to make sure that you can get power even if it's daisychaining off someone else?
Another question - do you book for the week of the 24? We've struggled to book in the past to the point where we now just turn up at the gate but I wasn't sure how that would work in busy periods?
Have you got any pics of the overflow field in use? Might be useful to add to the guide.
Cheers

I stayed at Spay for LM 2005 and am going back this year.
The lower/main field has hook-up and this is booked out by 'Just Tickets' - www.justtickets.co.uk.
If you just turn up during Le Mans like some mates did in 2005, the owners will put you in the top field, I don't believe this had hook-up, and the facilities weren't as good.
Things may have changed in the last year, but it was a great site and top location.
thanks for the reminder BTW, just bought a camping power socket from ebay.

As Skid Solo said previously, the overflow definitely had electric hook-ups last year, 'cos we camped there and used them! We'll be there again this year with 6 people and 4 cars (2 Elises, a 200SX and a TBA
), so we'll look out for the Maserati.
We have 'allegedly' booked for the last 2 years directly with the site owners. I say allegedly as Skid - who is my brother - works with a Frenchman who rang them and booked us in (they speak absolutley no English and my French isn't that great). When we arrived, however, they had no record of us, but let us in anyway!
No doubt we'll do something similar this year too...
