Most Enzos I have seen photos of seem to be sans front plate. I did consider doing the same with the GT, but knowing my luck I'd get pulled every time I went out in it if I did.

I thought Enzos had special permission from the DVLA and don't need a front numberplate (could be wrong...).

A mate of mine has a black AMV8 that he's been running without a front plate and a black one on the back - no problems for 8 months.

If you get caught you can always tell them you had stick on ones and it must have fallen off - max penalty is £30 if I remember right.

Good idea but IMHO give the police any reason to pull you over and they'll do it. I got 'told off' a few years ago, the police saw me going in the opposite direction and turned around so quick and gave 'chase' they must of thought I was a bank robber or something

There a vicious rumour that myself and NEO will be removing our front plates in time for our forthcoming road trip to Sant' Agata.

Obviously I couldn't possible confirm this.

I know of atleast 3 people who have been running 360's without front number plates for over a year a now.

It really depends on where your based, I removed my front plate and lasted one week before being stopped and given a warning but I do live in Central London which makes you an easy target with the standstill traffic.

I'd say do it and just say it fell off. The most you'll get is a £30 fine.

Have a look at the pic of the Superleggera on the PH home page, Chas.

Regarding black and silver plates, I'm pretty sure the lovely Mr Mosi has these on his Gallardo.

Same £30 job as not having one. To be honest, the way things are going with (it seems) a massive increase in iffy spacing/fonts etc I can't see points being far off

I've had the black/silver classic plates on a range rover for about a year and a half. There perfectly readable and a few police have shown an interest but mostly just point them out, never been pulled. They seem much more annoyed if you mess with the letters or make it hard to read. The plates are legal on classic cars type but i have a set of normal stick on ones to go over the top if required.
