Rattling Sunroof 2001 994 C4

I have a 2001 C4, bought last month from Cambridge and I am loving almost every minute of it. My sunroof rattles when open and it's sending me to distraction. This weekend the weather was lovely, but the driving experience was ruined by the constant rattling and the need to try to 'hold' the headlining to stop the noise. I understand that this is a common problem, with the 996 so does anyone know the cause? I will go back to my OPC, they have been helpful so far with other issues, but I want to ensure that if I have to pay for this to be fixed, I have asked for the right remedy.
