Hey all,

I'm delighted to say that my wife and I welcomed our little daughter into the world 3 wks ago.beer

Now the important bit: Does the Easy-fix base fit into the back of a 997 to hold the maxi-cosi baby seat?

If not, how best to transport her in the rear seat?

cheers.

we have a maxi-cosi and it fit very nicely into the rear of my 996tt rear facing. The passenger seat has to be as far forward as would go and more upright then usual but it does work - my son is just over 5months old and we used the car seat from when we about 1 month old.

well done by the way.

Congratulations. I bought a used Mondeo to add to the fleet when my daughter was born last November. Very practical and huge boot for buggy etc.

She's not been in the 911 yet as I can't get her baby seat (part of the buggy combo) into the rear seats but it all fits nicely in her mum's Mini Cooper S. Not sure about your model of maxi-cosi but I think Porsche do a seat - Porsche Prince or something that fits the 911.

Congratualations!! Rick - Do you know the product no. for that Maxi Cosi that you have mentioned for your TTT and can you recommend a pushchair? A Quinny Zap pushchair has been mentioned on the forum before.

not sure on the maxi cosi will find out and post tommorrow. you do have to remove the pushchair adapters but these are a 30 second job.

we have a bugaboo and i'm told on here that it does fit in the front but i think you have to remove the wheels from memory - we have never used it with the porsche so i bought a zapp at the weekend just for the porsche. i've not unpacked it yet but i'm sure there is plenty of room either in the front or behind the seats as it really does fold up to almost nothing.

the changing bag (even fully loaded) fits in the front or behind the seats so that works too.

Thanks Rick - I took a C4s and TT out over the weekend and the space in the front bonnet was a joke to honest although i have been informed that the C2 has 30-40% more space in the front??

the C2 boot is massive in comparison to the 4wd models - almost twice as deep and you can squeeze loads in

Thanks in advance for this, and all posts so far:

Just to steer the posts, I need advice more about how to optimally have a babay-seat in the rear 997 seat.

Thank you.

yes the c2 has a bigger front compartment due to the 2 wheel vs four wheel stuff.

There is more space then you perhaps think on first inspection and it really matters how much you want the car and what you intend to use it for. i got mine to replace a tuscan and did loads of research (mainly on here) to make sure it would work for me before i bought the car.

If you have nothing else to use then i would say that the porsche will mean too many compromises. if however it's mainly a weekend car then it will be fine. i worried so much over my decision to buy the car and i got it 1 day before my son was born. But my son is safe in the back, my wife is happy and we can go out to see friends, light shopping or days outs fine in the car but i really wanted one more sports car before i started to become sensible...

it's so useable that a good friend of mine is seriously thinking of selling his 9 month old 535 tourer to buy a 996 or 997 and a cheap shed. He was very dubious of the space / useability untill we started using it.

all depends on how much stuff you intend to carry round with you.
