How difficult is it to remove the inner door card on a 996? There is obviously an airbag in the door which I don't want to disturb.

Is this a job best left to Porsche themselves (be it OPC or Indy) or a DIY weekend task?

weekend task. just make sure the strap on the crash helmet is fitted correctly in the event of an unexpected airbag deployment.

I also think Jamie (Magic Torch) has a linky to a website that provides the workshop manuals for 996 cars to show you how to remove the door card properly. Hopefully he will be a long in a while.

Just take it to an OPC - they'll probably do it for you for free while you sip coffee and gaze out the window watching pigs fly...

Thanks magic torch, but could you just try one of the 996 links. They don't seem to work for me.
