i'm looking at my options here for something a bit sportier...
the essential styling/janspeed system looks good but also seems to have gone up in price a lot recently. i'd also need to get a special oval tailpipe made up.
i'm also looking at an Annantone system that is a lot cheaper. anyone have any experience with them? and do all 944 s2 systems also work with the 968?
my brief is basically....
sporty sound
no extra resonance
tilepipe that looks like the standard ie oval, non-obtrusive..
extra performance gratefully accepted but not a necessity.
anyone else got any suggestions?
thanks.

There has been a lot of talk on the 968 forum about exhausts so best to check here

The Janspeed system is readily available but not had very good reviews of late. Many of the 968 owners have been getting a custom made system.
Depending on the age of you car you could just get a DeCAT with a bypass pipe if your car is the later one (for MOT purposes). I had a DeCAT pipe on mine and it made a great sound and wasnt boomy (although a little tiresome after long periods on the Mway).

I am not sure about fitting an S2 system to a 968. I recently made the mistake of thinking that a 944 turbo system would fit my 968 turbo as the engine setup and exhaust manifolds are the same as the 951 on my car since the conversion, but the rear section on a 968 is different and bolts up in a different place, plus the tailpipe did not clear the rear bumber which is bigger on a 968.

A friend of mine has a 968 turbo s, which he races in the AMOC Inter marque championship.
There's a national 968 meet being arranged for Silverstone on 29th July. Stu, chap who runs the 968 forum; has been in touch with an owner of an original 968 Turbo S, so it might be your friend. If not, please could you send him the below link, as there should be 50 or so 968 owners there who'd love a close look of an original turbo.

Stainless Creations in Falkirk is owned by 968 owner. He has custom exhausts available and will ship no problem.Tell Alastair what you're after and he will make it using his car as a template.
He can produce one that saves 35kg and gives 10-12bhp. Graph on 968uk.com. Not too noisey either. choice of tail pipes available. Pics over on 968uk too.
