Nothing lasts for ever.

My new car has given up already.
Did 200 miles home with it in Sunday, parked it up and could smell petrol.
Forgot about it till this morning when I noticed it again. Petrol laying on the engine near the fuel rail.
Popped into my local friendly OPC
After a few grunts as if to say what do you want we're busy don't you know. A man came out to look.
"Can't look at it for at least a week"
I said, But that's diabolical, I have a petrol leak...look.
"ooh yes...I wouldn't drive it"
How can you be telling me it's over a week away?
" Yes I know it's terrible".
Can you please get you man to call me when he can fit it in....I'm not leaving it here. ( I bet a pound to a pinch of horse manure I never hear from them)
So I left those nice friendly people and called Porsche East London who said they'll fit it in as soon as it drops of the transporter and get it back to me ASAP. So I called assist and now it's on it's way.
Gutted from Ilford. Praying that I get the car back for the weekend.
Just thought I'd share my frustration with you guys.....Thanks

Yeah the wheels are black with orange RS in the centres from memory.
Niether are the dealer I bought the car from as these cars were sold out but how does one dealer fit it straight in to their busy schedual and the other just has such a smelly attitude. I have previously bought from my local and always use them for servicing....or should that be used to use them.
I never get a response after emailing them and when my Mother-in-law wanted a new 4S a few months ago I never got a call back and that was an enquirey I left with the DP. Dealt elsewhere.

I would have Porsche Assist return it to the supplying, OPC as it is they that have sold the car to you, and that would be your correct re-course.
Most other OPCs are likely to be busy, at short notice, just before Easter so you can't really expect them to drop everything for a car they didn't supply.
Good luck. Hope it's an easy fix.

As the man said Easter and Christmas - OPCs get very busy. (not that this helps you)
Hope all goes well.
Well the supplying dealer were happy to take it back but East london have jumped straight on it even though they are chocker. They realise that this is a serious fault and could end up with bad publicity if the car goes up in flames.
All I wanted my local dealer to do was to be sympathetic. As it turns out it's a 45 minute job.
Could you imagine the headline. Local dealer sends customer away. (Picture of a Brand spanking new GT3RS in Flames).
I'm in this business myself and there is no way we would send anyone away with petrol leakage.
