roof colour

hi people got a favour to ask,i am thinking about changing my roof its quite faded and has a few scuffs on the corners of the main panel but i am not sure about wich colour to choose.
my computer skills are not the best so just wondering if someone could take my profile pic and edit the roof to show how diff colours would look dont know if this is poss but if it is i would be gratefull i am thinking about blue/cream/burgandy options any help would be great the wrong colour could be a very costly mistake!!

I reckon a dark blue would suit the car better than light blue

I would like a new roof too but too costly for me and would probably go for a darker blue roof colour as my car is also a light blue, well more purple Ummmm not seen a purple roof now that could be an idea

Dark Blue.
If you are considering scraping the roof anyway, I'd suggest trying some "Renovo" in a dark blue colour to see if you can change the colour and freshen it up.
I have used the stuff on my previous 2 wedges and can't sing its praises enough.

I think you car hood was dark blue - it's just faded..

I had a dark grey 400 se with a fading blue hood and used Renovo blue restorer (blue dye) you paint it on. About £25 for a tin.

It works very well.

It there are no serious holes then it's £25 well spent and at least it would show what a new £500 blue hood would look like.

i will give the dye anoyher go 2 coats this time did it about 6 weeks ago and seems to look faded again and then decide.

I used Renavo a couple of years ago and was more than pleased with the results. My roof was really faded in places, almost pale brown in areas. I got the full Renavo kit which included detergent, dye and waterproofer. I gave it 2 coats of the dye I think which made it really dark black again. It did fade again within about 6 months, but not to anywhere near like it was before. I'm gonna do it again soon. It was probably just so faded that it needed several coats of dye.

If you really do want that "like new" look, then the only answer is for a new hood, but of course that comes with a £400 price tag or more, and then within a year you'll still have a second hand looking hood again. Personally, unless the material is torn or worm away, I would try some more dye. Just give it loads of coats, and then lots of coats of sealer. If it doesn't work or youre not happy, you can always get a new one and ebay the old one to recoup the money you spent on the dye! Someone will want it I'm sure!

I say try Renovo too. The only thing I don't like about it is that if you scuff it, it tends to go a bit shiney. But 25 quid plus an afternoon's effort is well worth it.
