After four months of waiting The Duke has finally arrived!! bounce bounce
Looks Good, sounds good and after first ride, it goes well too(subject to running in of course!) and the brakes feel as good as all the write ups say...tremendous!
The weather was even kind to me so I must have been a good boy recently!
Can't wait till next day off on Friday to get some more miles on. lick ooh the anticipation...

Just Don't tell biker's nemesis as he'll only want a go!!
.... or shall one use the Lotus instead??

The honeymoon period with a new bike is absolutly the best time in it`s life....getting to know it...working the engine in gently...same with the tyres...My duke 996 was a rough as hell when out the crate....I was kinda concerned as it was so vibey...but it smoothed out after a while as the engine bed in...into pure silk..worth a week off work while the weathers good just to put some quality time in the saddle....Enjoy...yum

Well done bonny lad. Eighteen months of bending my ear about which bike you should get then you go and get one without telling me sleep

I'm out for the first time tomorrow bounce so I'll see you at the usual place (guess where).

Looks really great - nice Lotus as well, I used to have a 111R.

Which 1098 spec did you go for?

The standard one and spending the difference on extra's!!
For the riding I do these days don't think the Ohlins is worth the extra.
The engine and brakes are the same and it certainly seems to handle ok with the Showa suspension. Will know better when finished running in!!
