Drip tray's again

Hi,
After a several month delay I finally got around to thinking about fixing my drip tray - or so I thought. Either I'm being really thick (entirely possibly) or it doesn't clear the wiper mechanism. Anybody know whether they changed the wiper mechanism between the early GTO3's and the later cars, or has anybody managed to fit one to an earlish car ?

Unless somebody comes up with an explanation (please), looks like I will have. I can pick the cheque up for the knock sensor at the same time as meeting up to deliver

Thought I would ask the question in a different way... help please.
Can somebody who has managed to fit a drip tray let me know if their wipers looked like this. (I wonder if I could just flatten the mechanism slightly). Failing that can anybody with a later car say if it looks the same as theirs.

I couldn't make the drip tray fit mine.
I think some cars have the wiper bars higher than others, mine being very high.
Shame as I think the drip tray looks nice.
Only way is to meet the seller and see if it'll fit, or buy it and hope.
You'll always find another owner with £60 otherwise.

ps. Your bars look lower than mine, think you'll be ok mate.
