I have a 1999 4.0 Chim with a Meta alarm fitted. I occasionally get the alarm going off for no reason. When this happens the alarm sounds but the hazard lights do not flash. If you set the alarm off normally the hazards do work with the siren. Any ideas out there?

Sounds like water ingression, If the horn is not pointing down then adjust it to do so. You may also need to dry out the horn and loom.

My Meta went loopie, it was the connector to the siren that was submerged in water in the inner wing. Maybe, maybe not!

I agree - sounds like water in the works. I had the same problem last year, ended up with a new siren (approx £80). Try letting it dry out, and also repositioning it pointing down / backwards. Like David said, also check connection is not sitting in water on the bottom of the front valence.
Wiltshire eh? We'd be glad to see you at a wilts region natter (see www.tvrcc-wiltshire.co.uk) shameless plug!
