ARB brackets....where do I buy?

....just found out that one of the brackets to my ARB is missing :-(
Where is the best place to order them from? With best I mean the relation quality and price .If there is that much difference?!

Ford part, over the counter, Cortina or early Granada? Not sure which. If that fails, pretty sure I have a few somewhere.....I think!

On a related note, you can bolt them with a bit of drilling.


Edited to add, darn, not where I left them. Have to search for them if it comes to that. Found some bushes though (ford part again not the better stuff)

I hope I used the right word for what I meant....
The steel bracket that holds one of the two bushes on the ARB to the chassi. Suspect it must be shaped almost like a "P"....

Last time I tied to get some they were end of life, no longer stocked, you'll be lucky mate!

The ones sold by Superfelex use two bolts so do not come off. They will also fit, just, without any drilling as the holes are slotted and you can just use the square hole on the chassis with a washer.

They can also be bought at Motorsportworld search for spf0984K.

I* remember using in an emergency, a small exhaust ubolt with a piece of metal pushed against the rubber to stop it cutting in, tighten as normal and lasted me for about 6 months before I bought a replacement from Ford, still have a spare as bought 2

Wondered what I found on my drive last year - snapped so what does it do and how dangerous without it?

Since I haven´t really driven my car yet I´m not sure. But the ARB is hanging to the chassi in one of the fixing points instead of two, so I assume that two is better than one...;-)
Should have an impact on roadhandling....in a negative way if it was broken or lost.
Anyone who has an experience?

I drove around for quite a while I think, and wondered why the front was a bit sloppy sometimes through corners, I thought knackered shocks. Although these were also replaced as car was softer than the easter bunny at front end

I got a couple from Richard at RT Racing in Sheffield and whilst I was at it I bought a couple of spares too.

The anti roll bar on the wedge was latterly acknowledged to be a bit of a design fault as it flexes further than originally intended, so it's not uncommon to lose a mount as the car twists.

We found the original brackets just kept bending and pulling loose on the 400se, we have fitted the SH drop links though and maybe they apply more strain to the brackets. The 350i does not seem to have this problem, this only has poly bushes on the drop links.

We ran the 400 without an arb at all for a brief time while finding a fix for the bracket problem as we felt it was safer than running with one bracket missing. The front end was looser but did not change dramatically, just take it easy on the bends and get the feel of the car. In some ways it helps you to appreciate what the arb does. I have no idea if this is legal or not though so...

Will these brackets fit on the 400 Anti Roll bar? I think this is 25mm but I notice that the bushes for the brackets spf0984K are 20mm. Would be interested to a picture if you have one.
