Flat Battery on Tamora
Discussion
OK so I'm stoopid I let my battery go flat was life in it yesterday for doors and stuff but would barely turn over so I thought I'd go and by a booster plug-in lead and a batt charge (max 7a) and hey presto. (Not so stupid, left boot open so can get to driver door mech release)
TODAY
1 Can't find handy booster connection under car
2 Battery now as flat as a pancake
Tamora handbook as about as useful as a back of a cornflake packet so as not to waste time how do I get the friggin' battery out.
I love my Tamora but for goodness sake if the engineers at TVR could get their tongues around Smolensky then what abot ergonomics?
Any advice please?

Go to Demon Tweeks and order a CTEK XS3600 and a set of Anderson jump leads....
....Get said items in 24hrs and then fit to car...The Anderson connector is just behind the NSF wheel under the body.....It has a protective cap over it witha safety wire so you don't lose it.....easiest to locate safety wire by hand and then pull the cover off.
Wait 36hrs for CTEK to finish charging and away you go.
once back in the garage, or at home, re-connect the CTEK using anderson plug.
Just done this myself and it saves a whole heap of bother.

Thanks to "Coach" battery charged and Tam flying.
I actually used a piece of 80 x 220mm timber and a log as a fulcrum to jack the Tam then blocked under carefully chosen points with other timber bits.
Did the guys in Blackpool never see a "Dzus" Fastner catalogue those 2 corroded (mildly) 6mm bolts that hold the battery access cover on were a bit of a surprise but eh that's part of the joy of TVR I guess.
Looked more closely under and into the Tam than I had before whilst 24hr charging process took place. Felt that it would be great to break-down the Tam and clone a better engineered product but guess then I'd end up with a more efficient diesel loco rather than the steam train and I love steam trains.
I keep and use my Tam in the South of France, took it to Isola for sking Friday 13th just to ensure battery given good run to get up to full charge. Any other Tam users or other TVR guys and/or gals down this way let me know if I can help.
Thanks again for postings.
