Fans Fuse

The Twin fans fuse on my Pre cat 4.3 is a 25A as the owners handbook and in 3 years of ownership I have not had it blow.
Yesterday it did and I replaced it with another 25 which blew immediately. Followed by another and another.
Having read the bible I note that I should be using a 40A. I have been out to my local factors and picked up several 40's;30's and 25's. Should I use the 40A or are their other considerations. I am electrically challanged. Advise would be greatly recieved.

Has your otter switch not worked for 3 years or have you not used the car?

Pretty sure a 40A is necessary if both fans are working

replaced otter 2years ago. Done about 16000 over the 3 years. Temperature has been very good and fans came in as they should. I'm a bit puzzled by the fuse rating. Tried a 40 and its blown???

Unplug your fans at the connectors 1 at a time, you may find a fan has seized or the connectors are really bad - also check the negative ground at the connectors. Else you have a fault ~ could try changing the relay first (just cos its easy).

Thanks. Spot on. A fan has siezed. I have removed it and am running on one with a 25A fuse. A little warmer in traffic. Will be replacing both together with a new radiator.
