Please help. Weird Problem !!!!!!! Urgent !!!!!!

So, Wedge starts, ticks over fine, runs well in the garage will rev to 4 - 5000rpm no problem at all. The problem starts when I try to drive the fecking thing !! When it gets to 2k revs or so it just cuts out dead !! like the coil has died !!! allow the revs to drop to 1k or so and it kicks back in !! does not cut out at the same revs every time and does not come back to life at the same revs every time and will not do it when static. I could drive around at less than 2K all day long but thats no fun !!!
Any ideas ??
Things I have changed / swapped and made NO difference. Coil , HT leads, Dizzy cap and rotor arm, Ignition module (85 fecking £££s) fuel regulator. checked all wires

So, it's only doing it under load? Could be fuel filter blockage, check fuel supply first. Look for proper hose connections around the plenum and to the fuel regulator. If fuel seems ok then substitution of a lot of the electrical parts may pin down the fault. Don't you just hate elusive faults!

Close to the AFM wiring, there is a black/white cable coming from the distributor. There is a bullet connector, and can either corrode or work itself loose. I checked mine a couple of weeks ago and was about to disconnect itself, and the self locking mechanism of the connector is not so good either.... Now securely in place with tape around it.

Got to be a loose connection on something, that your fecking around with has disturbed for the better. Just hope it lasts.

Reminds me of the problem Ron (clasabro hereabouts) had with is car whereby wiggling the wiring loom caused rough running. We slit the tape off but no amount of wiggling each wire separately would replicate it; it only stuttered if you moved the whole loom. I never did get to the bottom of that one...
