British GT - Round 1 some pictures from today at Oulton Park

Hi there,

Had a great day at Oulton Park today for the first round of the British GT Championship. Some stunning cars out on track and a good first race by all accounts.

Anyone going on Monday should have a great day.

Some really nice shots there. You have just made me think that I should go to Oulton park on Monday, just looked it up and its only 50 miles or so from me now.

Few questions, were your pics taken from a public area, and if so where are good areas for photos ( I have never been to Oulton before).

Oulton is a great circuit and is quite photographer friendly. I was shooting from the public areas as there are very few fences to worry about.



In the shots above: -

1,2 and 7 were taken from the infield just after Lodge corner on the run towards the start/finish straight.

3,4 and 5 were taken on the infield around Clay Hill.

6 and 8 were taken again from the infield around the exit of Lodge corner.

Hope this helps but if you are going Monday watch out for the traffic.

Have decided to definatley go tommorow, will be the first outing fr my camera at a race meeting, so looking forward to it.
