Wandering down Princes St in Edinburgh this afternoon I heard the unmistakable sound of the Red Men beating out some funky beats as part of the lead up to Beltane.

I was on the way to photograph the Kendo Championships but I got seduced by the rhythms (and besides, I need to get some more familiarity with the Beasties prior to Beltane - it's paying dividends to get in with these guys - quite apart from the fact I'm really enjoying shooting them)

Acrobatic formations, dancing and drums..what's not to like

Then we wandered up to the Royal Mile and set up camp just outside Grassmarket

Great fun

Really? Cool - I'll mention you to her next time

No, didn't make it - got distracted by this lot Decided it'd be nicer to stay outside with them than inside a sports hall Has prompted me to approach the Edinburgh Kendo club to arrange something though.
