Whilst waiting for a bit of work to be done on the bike down at P & H, I saw a bit of kit called 'INFORAD'. Which basically is Datatool's version of a 'Road Angel' with the added bonus of European coverage. Impulse buy (£90)

Specifically made for a bike, waterproof and quite easy to fit, once you worked out where to site it.scratchchin The biggest bonus is that its very discreet, cop all the main items are hidden and all you are left with on view is a flexible rod with an LED on the end, which you can site anywhere. mine is on the upper left hand side of my screen, the antenna I have put on the rear light cluster which on my bike means it has a clear view of the sky.

All works as promised, will test it in France next month.

Unless things have changed in France recently - be very careful. Speed camera detectors are illegal in France, and they will confiscate.

A guy I work with had his Origin B2 confiscated on the way back from Le Mans a couple of years ago. He had it wired in, but they took the device, and the cradle, basically every piece they could get to at the roadside. It was never seen again.

However I have seen these before and think they look good, I have an origin b2 in the car.

The only thing that has stopped me getting one, is that I would like to think that a yellow camera will never catch me on the bike - if I get caught by one on the bike, then what else am I not seeing?!

I'd be surprised if they french police could definitavely say a little green LED on a stick is a radar detector, as if it's been fitted properly nothing but that should be on show.

Been to Europe every year since 2000. Last year, left the INFORAD DIN part at home. Not worth the hassle. Actually, never needed it and I have been tugged a few times but luckily no action taken Good luck with your trip.
