UJs in the drivetrain

Hi

It sounds like a UJ or CV joint somewhere in my drivetrain is on it's way out - does anyone know where the UJs/CVs can be sourced - are they Ford items?

I sourced propshaft UJ's for about £4 each from local bearing specialist - but you need to take them in and measure them. There is quite a range of props / diffs / boxes on these cars and we have no idea which variants you have...

fairly sure that the drive shaft for the wheels use a ford Granada CV joint as for the prop , lord knows

I have a 1992 Griffith 4.3 with the Rover box - I think it may be a faulty CV joint on the near-side of the diff - Ford Granada?

Any further advice welcomed.

Drive back end onto ramps and you can have a good investigation. ARB rattles and diff bushes are a common cause of complaint

I'm now quite certain that it's the CV joint between the diff and the nearside rear halfshaft. I believe these are the stronger CVs fitted to the Sierra Cosworth - can anyone confirm this and suggest the best place to source a pair at lowest cost?

Any help appreciated.

Sierra Cosworth are smaller,its a GKN part (part no:1901 98 E 226)could be fitted to Granada,but in my neck of the woods they are the same as the Holden Commodore pre 2006,or your Vauxhall Monaro.
