Racing tv series from the 70s

Does anyone remember the name of the tv series from the 70s about a housewife who starts racing in a modified mini. I vaguely remember it being called driving ambition, but not 100%.
The race car builder was also in Allo allo aswell I think..!

It was Driving Ambition........... I seem to remember it was dreadful!

I think her Mini shopping car was converted into a spaceframed silhouette overnight!

I remember it clearly, very far fetched for that period ......... Not unusaul for todays woman!!!

I seem to recall, Gerry Marshall was the "hidden" driver!!
