Sending my wheels off the a place I've found who will do the job (at long last), but I wonder if anyone has a spare set of wheels with tyres on that I could use for 2-3 weeks whilst they're being done.

I won't be tracking it, just pootling about in the sunshine so there will be no rubber loss.

All offers on a postcard to....................

Which ones? I'm guessing you still have the GTO wheels?

Will they fit my motor, and will you lend them to me and if so, where do I kiss you?

BTW, my local dealer are going to respray my front end and do my wheels. They have been getting them refurbed for years apparently, and when I popped in while passing at work yesterday, the wheel guys were there. Seemed to know exactally how to fix 3R wheels.

(did say that a full set of new plastic bolts is about £120) eek

Once it starts getting in and furring, its amazing how fast the go all over.

The new ones coming from SA for the last year or so and painted all over.

Bit silly to try laquring a polished rim, nothing to stick too.

AFAIK, the refurb chaps, acid dip them, then machine the rim and repaint the whole thing, then bake.

Someone on here said they may be able to get black nylon bolt heads made up. They would look pretty neat!

Err - isn't that more expensive than factory new ones?

If I only got rid of one then I'd have 3 left - a bit of a problem.

I paid £1k for them, but will let them all go for £600 if anyone wants the set?
