hi,

had this fitted a couple of weeks ago and done approx 150mls,got to say that the pedal is much lighter and the gear change is soooo much smoother.

just one thing tho...when setting off in first gear it's a bit juddery if the revs are above 1200rpm,is this normal on a new clutch,ie a bedding in period?

thanks,kev.

Hi Kev,

I have the same fitted to my Tusc. I did find that there was a judder in the bite when pulling away in 1st but it seems to be improving as time/miles go by. I found that slightly higher revs than normal helped to reduce it but it is bedding in with time. I think the friction plate just needs about 200 miles or so to settle in.

Same here but it has calmed down now and the car is much better behaved when pulling away.

thanks guys...seems all is well then .

also i need to replace the leather gaitor on the gear shift as is has ripped,it was too tight a fit from the start, does anybody know where i can get one? i asked my main dealer last time it was serviced and they said it was on order...then the factory closed so no joy.

It's a tuscan and i think it's fawn? sort of a light brown/biege colour.

thanks again,

kev.
