I know there's been a lot on this topic, but which replacement rear discs and pads should I use for 96 Chimaera later set up? Don't want to upgrade at the moment, just want the Ford part numbers, and which spec to order i.e what was/were the donor car(s)? Cheers all

Here is a link that might help.
www.parkersteve.dsl.pipex.com/chimaeraparts.html#brakes

I fitted rear discs and pads last year (96 reg 4.0 )
and the discs were D558 vented, ford part number 5024175
early XR4X4 cosworth and pads from the same car.
Best to take a disc and pad with you, sometimes the parts
are none standard (may have been upgraded)
The cost was about £80
The worst part was removing the Allen bolts that hold the
caliper on (two each side ) they are locktighted in, plus
the constant heating and cooling makes them very tight,
I used an Allen key with a bar on the end and when it went
I thought I had snapped the bolt.

Thanks,
friendly with my Ford dealer so will order them up. They look absolutely standard, so your info should be spot on.
Cheers, Mark
