The battery in my westfield has nearly reached the end of its life so looking for a replacement Its running a 1.6 CVH. The obvious thing is to go to the local tyre/exhaust place but wondering if there are better alternatives at a realistic price.

I would look at Oddysey or Redtops as a good, lighter substitute - more cranking power too.

I agree, a local tyre exhaust outlet will only have std "wet" replacement batteries.
Depending on where in Yorkshire you are I may be able to put you in touch with a supplier.
If you ever get over to Manchester I can sell you one over the counter.

Tanya is a spin off of the company I work for, if you decided to go the Odessey route email me which one you plan to go for & I will see what I can do. I can normally get Red top SBS30's for around £110 inc.
Do a full range of battery conditioners so your new battery investment does not go flat & sulphate too

regards Gareth

Just re-reading my post and due to my lack of postings on PH since I joined and the fact I am offering to supply a discounted battery and therefore money changing hands, it could appear to some I am trying to scam "send me £xx and I will send your battery"

To hopefully put minds at rest, I am trying to offer like minded enthusiasts a trade price on something I sell for my job. As mentioned earlier we have a trade counter in the centre of Manchester ( www.manbat.co.uk ) that you can call on, alternatively I am on the road throught the North West and accross to Leeds and may be able to do a meet if that helps, recipts given, no money up front etc etc.

regards Gareth
