Well it's a bit of a statement but I don't drive my 930 enough (I use the vette or the mini most of the time), but took it out for a blast today
20 years old - 400bhp (lots of modz) 136,000 miles on the ODO and it still goes like a bullet !!

Met a GT3 whilst i was out on the country lanes and totally blew him away

So glad i haven't parted with it - doubt i ever will - just so great to drive a proper car sometimes, one that doesn't give you second chances and keeps you on your toes

Stunning Car cloud9 and the wheels simply add to the drama... if only I could get some Veloce GT1's for my GT2 confused

It's funny.... Quite often people "add stuff" to late model 911's and it just looks duff.
I'd say that's one of the few exceptions, where loosing the Fuchs has done it a favour.
Nice one!

Hey Koln - mine's had alot of modz - penske custom made shocks, ceramic turbo, big reds, 993 intercooler, weight reduction etc etc
GT3's get eaten alive - straight line and in the bends (if I'm being brave)

Re Wheels
I had a set of Rufs (polished rims) on it before - and they looked great, but cracked one and couldn't get a replacement, so PWS sourced those GT1's. Pretty good swap

Very light, less than 30kgs for the set, so less unsprung weight at the wheel

Cableguy - did you try Peter at PWS ?

wow, good enough taste to have a stunning 930, but for some reason feels the need to talk in 'street slang' and call modifications, modz.

how odd.

oh well, at least its a nice car.

modz is just an abbreviation - trust me I'm not really a Halfords boy

very nice looking bit of kit.
remember proper 911 drivers prefer the fun aspect of driving the old school 911's and old school 911 turbo addicts are just ever so slightly insane. Bu**er it I'm off to buy a 993 GT2

You got it pretty much right !
Last year i went out to buy a new 911 - test drove the GT3 - great car - but no soul and way too easy to drive - Turbo - felt heavy and again no soul - wanted a GT2 but no way could afford a widow maker - so ended up keeping the 930 and bought a corvette Z06 !

Nice collection, woof. You've posted pics of that 930 before - extremely tasty looking in that colour with the Ruf spoiler and so on, and no doubt really quick. 'modz' or not, though, and without wanting to rain on your parade, I'm sort of doubting that with drivers of equal ability that your 930 would show a GT3 the way home on a circuit or on a give and take road (like the 'Ring). I could be wrong, but if your 930 is that quick, then it must be utterly awesome. I like the alloys - 7.5 kilos is no joke. That's damned light. Were they expensive?

How is a 4 letter word an abbreviation for a four letter word? the Z is right next to the S, so its not like it would be extra effort..
