Noticed that my passenger door had dropped so looked in the Bible which says best left to someone who knows what they are doing.
Hum!
So that'll be me then.
Removed n/s footwell carpet and panel that hides the battery. carefully pull up carpet in footwell against inner sill to reveal two holes with 13mm nuts of the bottom hinge bolts.
Loosen these with socket on a short extension. Socket falls off extension inside sill to roll back & forth along sill for evermore. Retrieve socket with pumbers mait (like stiff putty) on a wide bladed screwdriver, must get one of those magnet thingy's.
Tape socket to extension and start again, when loosened the door can be raised and lowered taking care not to catch the paint.
Enlist help from Wife, close door and she lifts it so it's in line.
Tighten bolts by laying across centre console with head in passenger footwell. Don't need a torch as my head doesn't revolve like an owl and so it's all done by touch.
Door now fits perfectly, need to adjust stricker plate.
Loosen Torx bolts and plate moves rapidly away from former position.
Ten minutes later it's sorted. Best to have one person hold the plare firmly whilst the other loosens/tightens the screws.
Found that if the door is lifted too far the ally triangle will foul om the "A" post rubber.
Do not attempt single handed, must have an adequate assistant.
Here's a pic of the bolts from inside

Thanks Keith,

On a related note, any idea how to lubricate the bottom hinge ? Mine is creaking a bit. (Suspect it's door speaker out but not sure).

Cheers,

Chris

I adjusted my passenger door as it had dropped slightley but i loosened the 2 top hinge bolts near the fuse box then lifted the door and retightened.
It has done the trick so far but can't make my mind up if i should of done the bottom hinge.
I suppose time will tell.

As you say, linky no worky! It did work when I set it up.
I have tried to do it again but cannot get into the "Uncle Daves" upload site.
I'll have a go in the morning
