It was on the A614 somewhere between Driffield and Goole in East Yorkshire yesterday. It's a mobile type camera, on a tripod, the camera was about 2-3ft off the ground, and looked a bit like a gatso shaped enclosure, about 1ft square. they had two of them, one pointing each way. I've never seen one before and had a silver car parked with it. Anyone know what it does, and what the specs are on it? ie how far away does it do it's thing.

Looks a bit like that. Hopefully it's only the type that gets you as you've passed it.

Don't know for sure but it does look very venerable to a 36 tonner needing to stop quickly on the h/s to check his brakes aren't overheating

"Saw this puff of smoke and thought it best to check, didn't see the camera at all, only that it was clear of cars. what a stupid place to set something ike that up anyway, it being a motorway and all officer..."

Hopefully it's the type that gets crushed by a truck.
