Last year I got a bundle of stuff through from Parcel Force at my business' address. It was stuff relating to a Parcel Force account, carbon triplicate bits of paper, delivery notes and what not to enable you to have a business account with them.

This was interesting, as my business was not trading and I hadnt requested such materials. Their customer services were utterly useless and after about an hour of bouncing dept to dept with lots of time on hold I just gave up and chucked all the stuff on a spare shelf.

Got a call today from them chasing payment of outstanding invoices from January. The guy read out completely the wrong address for my company (which unfortunately I couldnt write down at the time, that'll teach me to answer my phone on the throne rolleyes).

What makes me curious is he had arrived at my phone by phoning someone who has not been a director of the company for 2 yrs, who gave him my father's number, who gave him my number (as my father, although a director, takes no part in running the business).

Bottom line, should I be worried about this costing me? There was talk of legal action to regain the money owed, but these invoices can have nothing to do with my company as we most definately have not sent anything.

If it has nothing to do with your company then if you follow this to its logical conclusion which will be legal action, then their case will fall a bit flat!

i would let them know the score and get them to sort it out.
