i have a 2001 clio v6 and i am having trouble with the power steering its run of the fan belt and it keeps knocking on and of its strange the garage said it could be the pump or the rack ???

Try asking on www.v6clio.net where some members have access to the service information. IIRC the powersteering pump is run off the auxilliary belt and is relatively difficult to get to (it's on the side of the engine that is next to the heatsheilding for the fuel tank).

If it's the pump find another should'nt be too difficult (it's just a Laguna part) the rack may force you into a main dealer though if that's where the problem is...
