A friend of mine, south of the border, was followed by an unmarked car late at night last year.
Being a bit on the thick side, he thought the Volvo behind was trying to race him, so he booted it. They followed him for about 8 miles on the A road, through a 60 limit, where he reached in excess of 120mph, crossing double white lines in the process, then through a 40 limited village, where he managed to be recorded at 105mph passing some bollards in the centre of the road on the wrong side to be able to make the corner, then up again to 120mph+ and some mad overtakes before he was pulled.
He pleaded guilty to Dangerous Driving and was disqualified for two years and given about 250 hours community service. At the plea hearing the Magistrates told him to expect prison.
Bear in mind this chap had been convicted of careless driving only a few weeks before for similar antics, and in between had had his car confiscated after a powerslide around a roundabout in view of the BIB. As I said, not a clever chappy.
I'm not familiar with the usual punishments for reckless endangerment, but I'd expect a decent sized ban and probably some community punishment too.

Hmm. I hadn't realised there was an offence of "reckless endangerment" outside Scotland. What Act(s) introduced that in Wales DVD? - Streaky AFAIK Wales hasn't got the power to introduce primary legislation - unless it was tucked away in the middle of something else.
