2 of my wheels need a 'persuader' to remove them, its not that they are sticking to the hub, but appear to be tight on the studs, anybody else had the same problem?

yeah when I had my tyres changed it took 2 sturdy blokes with big rubber hammers to get my wheels off, they'd damn near welded to the hubs. Needless to say they went back on with a thin coat of copper grease applied to make sure that doesn't happen again.

My problem is slightly different it's not welding itself to the hub, you have to work the wheel until it is 5mm clear of the hub then it pulls off normally, think I might have to pack a mallet with the jack.

or pack an AA/RAC membership card which is even easier way to change wheels

I spent 6 hours beside the road, waiting for RAC/Recovery on Tuesday, think it would be quicker to pack a mallet.

yikes 6 Hours? You could push the damned thing home in that time.

Obviously you couldn't pretend you were a girl as the car would give you away hehe

Approx 3 hours was spent directing traffic it was stopped in an accident blackspot (A345 between Durrington and Fighledean for anybody that knows it)and the police were too busy to send anybody out, there are some tossers about even when directed to slow down they didn't until it was almost too late.

Anyone tried to push their beast on their own, I have & never again, progress could be measured in feet per hour! Best one for testing your brawn is manouvering at slow speed (parking) without power steering, its about as difficult as pushing it!

Pushed a Monaro almost 1/4 of a mile twice at Santa Pod last year. Not too bad much better than getting the car rearly hot befor a run.

Useful tip for anybody stuck by the side of the road and not able to get a fixing (no towing eye) to winch onto the recovery wagon, take a strap around the top of each turret (rag underneath it to protect bodywork)and fasten the winch at the front.

i had an similer prob but when the power stering pump died and put metal shavings all throught the rack , having to try and drive it to get it fixed was an nightmare with tight corners it was an better work out then the gym.
