Unusual alarm call

[stuart b]

This is what woke me up this morning (and no I don't live in a stately home)
Absolutely no idea where it came from. Apparently they only fly short distances and I've never heard one before around here.

Whats for dinner tonight

[speedychrissie]

they do only fly short distances, but if they can get up high they can go a long way. our peacocks can occasionally fly a few hundred metres after they have reached a high enough lauch point.

they do make an awful lot of noise though dont they? our make pea (fred) likes talking to the neighbouring male a couple of miles away!

Are you sure Fred's not missing?
