Searched through the classifieds and there seemed to be a lot of nice cars around a few months ago but nothing available now! I'm looking for a 51/02/52 car with the usual desirable options, manual, 30kish miles and a warranty. Budget is £45K. If anyone knows of a nice example for sale then please PM me.

Also, does anyone know, at what age did PCM II become available on TT's?

Cheers!

They do come up, you just have to keep looking. Makes it all the more worthwhile when you finally stumble across a good'un

PCM2 was available on MY03 cars. 52 plate onwards, although a few of the early 52 plate cars still came with PCM1.

both are 51 plates so both PCM1 with ever-so-naff tape deck. Would look for a pre-52 plate w/o PCM to be honest and retrofit something like a Becker traffic pro

yes and yes although could be dark grey natural leather which is almost black

rather more glaring is the claim it is godawfultronic when the pic is manual !?!? Why don't dealers take more care with descriptions, its not hard and errors look so unprofessional?

If it's a good car at a good price screw the description. Btw - I quite like my godawfultronic TT, kinda turns the car into something unique. As I've said before if I want to go total motoring thrill I take my Sag or my Duke.`My Godawful is my everyday car.

Actually I'm going to go further in reposte to the scathe that is poured upon the Tiptronic (or any other well executed autobox for that matter). I'm not going to even begin to argue that a good manual box is more satisfying on a track or a good switchback, because it patently is. I will, however, argue that you can have an entirely different spectrum of fun with a well executed autobox - like the Tip S.

Left foot braking, for a start, is extremely satisfying if you can get it right, especially coupled to a good auto. Using your left foot to brake you can modulate your throttle foot to keep the car wound up and ready to spring out of corners. Using the change buttons on the steering wheel you can also left foot brake and blip your downchanges while keeping both hands on the wheel. It's a different driving technique and very satisfying if you can get it right and with a car like a 996TT the lack of a 6th ratio really doesn't hurt in any way as it's got so much grunt anyway.

I like my godawfulltronic and I'm in no way ashamed to say so. There, I've said it!

And just why is it not possible to left foot brake with a manual???

And as for blipping down changes, have you ever heard of heel toe??? Much more satisfying than a computer doing it for you .... IMHO of course.

This is one of the nicest i've seen around IMO, Polar Silver is considerably different to Arctic and very few in this colour were produced.

You can left foot brake in a manual, and I do, and I also heel and toe (in my Sagaris), it's just that the technique on a Tip is different and provides a different experience.

Camtune's cars are always priced a little high IMO although they are usally very well prepared.

Definately worth a look and i'm sure the price is negotiable as its been in stock for a month or two...
