Been driving down the A12 today from the M11 / north circular junction and get to the area around leyton.

There is a warning sign of a 30 mph speed limit, then a 30 mph sign on the central reservation and a 50 mph sign on the opposite side, near the wall. Speed camera around the corner is still set at 50 mph or whatever it goes off.

Any police got any idea what is to be gained from having different speed signs in the same stretch ?

Is that 2 different limits in the same or opposite directions??

There's a road near Pride Park Stadium (Derby) where there are seemingly two different limits in the same direction, depending on which way you approach it...but either way they're both ignored

south bound direction, 30 mph and warning of such limit, with 50 mph sign at the same area and repeated further down the road, the sign in front of the speed camera is 50 mph, no pictures as lots of cameras around

I would take a snap of the 50 sign near the camera and do that.
I would assume that the most up to date sign takes precendence.
