Can anyone help? My PCM2 is acting wierdly.... Whenever I switch the ignition on, the PCM screen seems to flicker with a very feint multiple Porsche logo (a small but very feint version of the white front screen you get when you switch the system on). Strangely, this happens even when the PCM unit is switched off. I then switch the system on & everything seems to be OK.

Has anyone experienced this before, or do you know if there is a software fix for this?

Cheers

Alex

I don't know, but I can sell you a replacement if yours is broken. I have a spare one, having bought it hoping it would fit my car only to find it wouldn't!

yes You needed a MOST bus car for PCM2, sadly.

Did you buy the unit new from Porsche or get it off eBay? I'm curious as for a while I considered buying a unit and retrofitting it to my MY03 Boxster S (first one to accept PCM2). Did you find an independent who could do the fitting work?

Don - if you've currently got a CDR23 (MOST), retro fitting a PCM2 is pretty straight forward. More tricky if you want to add GSM module, but still do-able.

I do indeed have a CDR-23 and have thought, idly, of doing exactly that. GSM too ideally. Haven't yet...
