Paid £46k 3 months ago for 1 owner '02 car with less than 20k miles. There were quite a few others in the £45 - 50k bracket, most with 35,000 - 50,000 miles. There are cars at about £40k but most seem to have had quite a few owners / dodgy interior colours / no nav etc (if any of that is important to you).

You really just need to look at the condition of the car.

What does it matter how many owners it has had as long as they have all looked after it and spend money on it whenever it has needed it?

Also why is everyone so hung up about PCM? A £99 Garmin is better than PCM I now. Sure it looks nice to have the big screen but if you then have to have another Sat Nav unit stuck to the windscreen to actually be able to find your destination, what use is that?

What's the general opinion as to where 996TTs will bottom out in price? Just bought an 04 996TT Cab Tip for a bit North of 60K and I am told that the 997 Cab is out end of this Year but will be around 120K. Early Coupes are in the low 40s, there aren't many Cabs below 55K at the moment. Where and when will they bottom out?

Mines got PCM 1 and whilst i dont dispute the new generation of units are better, PCM still finds your destinations with ease, you dont need another unit as well

Only if you intend to sell to a dealer when the time comes and aim to lose a whole bag of money anyway

My eyes do that......

If you have PCM1 or 2 they are a navigation aid, nothing more nothing less. They do look better in the car than an add on unit and are more desirable when resale. They also have various other functions and ease of use -

You don't think private buyers prefer pcm-based cars, or that pcm-based cars are easier to shift?

I certainly do.

I know private buyers also prefer PCM optioned cars. However, I believe falsely so.
