Hi

I am driving to Le Mans to meet up with someone who will already have a car on the camping spot. Is it pretty easy to find somewhere else to park for the 5 days or should I be able to to squeeze my car on the lot?

Is there dedicated parking not in the camping area?

Thanks

Luke

P.S Does anyone take a bike to ride around on?

You will need to have a camping pass to enter the campsites. Parking in the area can be very difficult owing to the amount of traffic and gendarmes. What camp site are you on? You could always buy a parking permit on ebay.

You can still buy parking tickets on line from the ACO, even though many of the more convenient ones are full now.

Rouge is still available and not too badly situated.

I thought of this the other day.

Can't you just dump the car at the Carrefore and get your mate to come and pick you up then drive back to the campsite?????

Am I looking at it too simplistically?

I do not see why not (SuperU, Arnage would do just as well.) I have never known anybody to be clamped/towed away etc for leaving their car in a supermarket car park round here.
The French just dump their cars on any convenient verge for the race, btw!

Taking a stepthru Yamaha that's worth b*gg8er all but handy to get the neccessities from town/hypermarket. That way, if you go into town and have too much lemonade you don't have to worry about leaving it chained to a lamp post.

Parking Rouge (close to the main entrance) is large and last year it was no problem arriving Friday late afternoon and buying a ticket at the gate.

Cheers
