.....and others say that you need to have the brake test done on the open road with a decelerometer, otherwise it can damage the Lsd.
This is how I have mine done. Tell the tester about your requirements when you book it in. You only have to drive at about 15mph or so with the examiner in the passenger seat with the decelerometer on the floor, then brake firmly (not an emergency stop), and brake again using the handbrake (though this hardly slows the car at all - but it's enough to show some effectiveness!)
If you tell the MOT station they can do a combined brake test (both wheels the same speed) and as the speed is only about 3 or 4mph on the rollers it's unlikely to do any damage,
but all stations have to have the floor mounted decelerometer but lot's of them need a metal floor to stick too so they won't work in a Chim anyway.

Does this give a problem at MOT time with the rear brake test?
When i took mine for it's last MOT (not a TVR garage, but one i know and trust) i was asked to help by operating the controls they where checking. While i was talking with the tester he showed me the print out from their test computer.
On the bottom in BIG letters it said "DO NOT TEST BRAKES ON ROLLING ROAD" (or something like that) so i asked why? he said "It can destroy the LSD"
Oh yes, also had a good laugh, when the tester drove my car into the test bay, he sat in the car for a moment, then tested the horn, then tested the horn again, then tested the horn again. then he started beckoning the other mechanics over, then i realised,....
he couldn't get out.
