hi guy's,
just curious does anybody know if a rv8 will fit into a 1600m chassis without to much surgery, i know that diff suspension and brake's will need up grading, it's just if there is enough room to start with.

The 1600M has the same chassis (other than engine mounts) as the other M series cars (ok there are some minor differences as the M series evolved). RV8's have been put in M series chassis before (the Factory even helped with one car in the 70's). It will fit.

But be warned that you not get a huge HP RV8 to work in the chassis properly without some very clever exhaust manifolding. The RV8 is a reasonably wide V and the exhaust headers are at the same level as the top chassis rail, so consider this carefully and budget for some custom manifolding
