Gear Knob & Handbrake

Hey all,

Could someone point me in the right direction on how to remove the gear knob and handbake handle?

Am i right in thinking the gear knob lower part turns off then you undo a grub screw?

And for the handbrake handle i can't seen to get the garter lower enough without removing some stitching.

Are you trying to take off the originals or aftermarket ones?

If its a Standard Handbrake with a black handle, the handle is glued on, the easiest way to get it off is to cut it off with a stanley knife (assuming you don't need to use it again). If its a Leven one there are 2 or 3 small Allen head grub screws underneath it.

Undo the Gear Knob using a plumbers wrench (or similar) with plenty of rags to protect the knob, and unscrew it.

Cheers, i'm changing them for new ones, im done the gear knob, thx but still got to tackle the handbrake handle, i guess thats a job for tomorrow (god this takes me back to my old saxo with molded handbrake handle)

...but don't be a total donkey like I was! F*****g stanley knife slipped and cut the handbrake shroud. Serves me right for changing the h/b handle on Christmas morning after the wife bought it for me.

Whats's the chances of getting a replacement (in Prussian Blue)and anyone know where from?
