ODBII reader - returns errod

I have an ODBII scanner (Autoscanner U380) which I used to use on my 350z. It states it is compatibl with all cars from 96 onwards with an ODBII port.

I tried to read codes tonight and after the link it just reports error. Is he Monaro ODBII and if so is there any reason why it might not read?

am now wondering if the speed of the ODBII port on the LS1 is not 10.4 which I suspect my tool runs at

lol I know fella, I know but now the tune is sorted I need to save pennies. Next thing is the vxr discs to be installed so thats taking that chunk.... probably for the better as by the time I can afford the kit then you'll only have the v2's left and lets be honest, thats the one I really want...


so can you confirm the cable speed is the issue?

You can try emailing the odbii company you have now to see what they say.

Buy an Autotap from the USA (www.autotap.com) 199 bucks and it will do all your code reading and logging and at that price you cant go wrong. Works perfectly on Monaros and Vettes, and is a doddle to use. I own one as well as EFI live, and for everyday use, its the best IMHO.

Or $399 will get you scan only efilive which you can upgrade to the full version if you ever want to with just a software key..
