New clutch or new gear box? Advice needed?

I'm having increasing problems selecting gears. Just made it home having to push and pull the leaver into every gear as apposed to it just slotting in. Can't select 5th before reverse when standing still, had to crunch in into reverse. Could it just need a new clutch or could it be syncro or dog rings?
exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago...just got her back after having a new clutch fitted...mine also needed the flywheel replacing...all in all mine was about £1400 though ive heard people on here quoting £1k.
mine went from hard to select gears to no gears very quickly so dont go far ! it took me 10 mins to eventually get it into 2nd..which got me to the garage !

I think you're looking at about the 1K mark - try giving Austec (Crawley) a ring. I know they've got them in stock, and they could transport your car on their low-loader.
You could also try Autocraft - but they're not exactly local to you.
Alternatively, give Leven a bell - they're in Basildon.

Spoke to Castle TVR this afternoon. They asked if the clutch was stiff, which is apparently a symptom of a broken clutch finger although there is no noticable difference in the clutch pressure. They suggested I also check the brake fluid level, which I'll do in the morning. Anyone know where the master cylinder is?

The resevoir is in the drivers footwell above the pedal box. Out of screw cap on the top it has a protruding white plastic rod with a circlip on the end of it this is an extension of the float and indicates the fluid level. If the plastic rod is not protruding by around an inch then your fluid is low. Its best to use a small medicine beaker to pour new fluid in as access is somewhat impaired. Make sure you use the correct spec fluid (likely DOT 4 brake/clutch fluid).
Note:
The brakes and the clutch share the same fluid resevoir, and for safety reasons the clutch is designed to fail to operate first on a low level of fluid.
I hope for your sake this solves your problem, but I wouldn't be holding my breath on that.
