What are the latest facts/rumours about an RS version or power boost for the Cayman S?

Just read an interview with Andy Goss (MD Porsche UK)where he states that Porsche will only build "special" versions of the cars they actually race, they feel it would be hypocritical of them to produce a race derived car from a car they dont actualy race.
So expect to see one in a showroom soon!

Even the after market tuners are playing coy on this one. I've emailed three so far (Ruf, TechART and SpeedART) about the large power increases they are advertising for the Cayman 'S' on their web sites.

Response rate is zero. Guess they are either talking cobblers or are so rich they can ignore punters on a whim.

when they revamp the 997 which is due in 2008/9 i would have thought that they will revamped the cayman shorty afterwards with more power probably around 320/330bhp
